Silly center console question for the 60/40 bucket seat

When you push the button for the console to open does it have a spring that pops it up all the way open?

 

I dont think that the 60/40 have a center console, As far as the button, its just a latch to hold it closed

 

It's a 60/40 bench seat (doesn't have a center console)

or

bucket seats

From what I remember, it should spring open.

 

Not sure if everybody's talking about the same thing, but the OP is correct, there are 60/40 seats with a center armrest/console/whatever you want to call it, I have one myself. If you raise it there is a seat belt for a 3rd person to sit in the front seat, never tried that option but its there. Pushing the release button in should make it open a little so maybe it's a little spring loaded.

 

Mine for some reason pops up but when I lift it the spring won't hold it up
