So has anyone actually determined if this assists in disengaging/engaging or both?

I found that it reduces the pedal effort in a progressive manner for both disengagement and engagement. The progressive bit is because the center of the spring is not fixed, it rotates as the pedal moves.

I can't believe that people would go to all the trouble to remove the spring and/or accumulator. My pedal feels great without issues. It really is a non issue. Don' want to see people pulling stuff of their truck to find out that it made the clutch worse..

It's ok. I've randomly felt a weird feeling from time to time in the clutch and knowing now ( i never looked ) that there's spring doing what it's doing the feeling makes sense.

If removing it improves pedal feel and consistency without causing damage or premature wear, then i'm all for it.

Post one is all you need. There’s a clutch return assist spring that can be removed for a better clutch pedal feel. Apparently doesn’t have any fall backs if removed

I missed it yesterday looking at Frank's accumulator link. The upper line is noted to be flexible. I assumed both ends were hard lines. So, a short piece of flex hose could be used? Also, googling accumulator removal, it was confirmed that the fittings are metric and short hose sections are available at auto parts stores. The tube part of the mod might be easier than I thought.

Truck / car forums in a nutshell: "Can I get a 18" lift, fit these 40's, have a -80 offset and not affect ride quality?" x1000 for every person on these forums asking the same questions. No one wants to figure things out for themselves.

From my research, there is no downside other than a stiffer pedal feel. It does not fix the cold weather thing. I have no idea where that came from and was not meant to address this issue. It just clears up some choppy feeling I was having, and is common among modern MT's. The GM thing seems like another weird GM quirk and not a universal thing. There is no bypass or whatever for these systems that's run on pedal height. Mod at your own risk.. It'll literally take you a total of 15 mins to un-install and re-install if you don't like it.

Time to go back to other forums! :)

In all seriousness. I tagged him, he asked a question. What’s the need to get all butthurt. @commbubba19 it didn’t impact your day, he didn’t tag and ask you, but yet you chose to get butthurt. Go on with your business.
