Sorry for a bit of a long post, but I've been trying to diagnose the issue.

So awhile back, I installed a simple 2.25" Pro-Comp level kit on my 2011.

As I was doing the install, I noticed my struts were shot. I already had the kit and the 5100's were not in the budget so I went with OEM after-market quick struts. They told me there was a left strut and right strut (different part numbers). I installed them in the correct side and everything went back together awesomely. I had the post install alignment done and was on my way.

It's been happening since install and I had the garage re-check my install and to see if there was anything loose but they assured me things looked good.

Problem is, I get a clunk/rattle on my driver's side when I am going over wash-boards or hitting unavoidable pavement breaks.

I finally had a chance to crawl under my truck yesterday and noticed something that might be causing my troubles, but wanted to check with everyone first.

I don't have the sway bar relocate kit and I don't plan on taking it off to get rid of the issue, but my question is, could the strut be mounted in the wrong way, as in I need to turn the top coil over portion a half turn or should I get the relocate kit.

As you can see, in this first pic, this is the passenger side and there seems to be ample clearance between the sway bar and the bottom of the coil over.

In this pic, this is the driver's side. There is definitely less clearance and the bottom of the coil over is rotated or in a different position that the passenger side.

I checked the sway bar for rub marks and there is the beginnings of rub marks on the drivers side, as well, but not as much on the passenger side.

    Thanks for your help!

Looks like the coils are installed correctly and it does look like theres some contact with the sway bar. I'd take it off and see if it goes away before i bought a relocate kit.

    Hey ensaladas,

The picture that you have selected is the passenger side and yeah it does look like some slight contact. But what about the driver's side, the bottom pic. Does it seem to be rotated properly cause there is definitely a lot less clearance.
