So I am going to replace my struts/shocks soon but am not ready to do a lift yet, eventually I will but not now. Suspension seems pretty "soft" lately and I even bottomed out yesterday over a speed hump! Never happened before and was not speeding over it. I did get under the truck and check the leaf springs, which looked absolutely fine.

I am just not prepared financially to do the lift I want right now but I do want to make sure I'm not hurting the truck by not doing anything. Can anyone tell me a good set up for a bit smoother ride? I don't offroad but I do tow a 19' boat.

    Thanks for any info!

Bilstien 5100's are a good choice.

id go with bilstein 5100 up front

as far as your rear leaf springs go perhaps you should look into an add a leaf.

otherwise id suggest a replacement pack from OMD username is 4WD on this site.

Thanks! I have been looking at the 5100s but didn't know if I needed to do anything else with them.

This may be silly but can I just put on 5100's without replacing my coils? Will it hurt anything. No offroading but I do pull my boat and may/may not throw my motorcycle in the back.
