    I have noticed alot of variability in the paint textures of different Tacoma fender flares. I don't know if it is a year to year difference, assembly plant difference, or if the parts are painted by hand instead of a robot. None of them match the metal panels, however.

    Anyone got a picture that shows the texture of an unpainted fender flare?

    Paintpimp and Chris are correct, the flares are textured.

    Textured bumpers and flares can be scuffed (sanded) with a scotchbrite pad to promote adhesion as well as using an adhesion promoter.
