    Looking forward to pics.

Just for reference approximately how much lift did the springs get you?
Been thinking of bumping my Bilseins up on notch.

    Pics from today...

Had to modify the stock shackles to accept a 1/2" x 4 1/2" grade 8 bolt on the spring side.

Also did new u-bolts from ToyTec, 1/2" x 4 1/2" front spring eye bolts, brake bracket doohickey, and the 31131 Monroe shocks
    IMG_3464 (1).jpg

Also hacked the exhaust off...too big a pain to work around. Decided to u-bolt flip at a later date.

Stance is about perfect now, needs 33's.
    IMG_3463.jpg

Pile of broken junk, dirt, hacked u bolts, etc. so much mess.

I would say I got an easy 2.5"-3" of lift in total over the stock stuff, which was terribly sagged.

Up next....bed cage/RTT mount that'll also mount my toolbox...then install my marine battery in the toolbox, run 12V outlets to the bed.

I remember reading your build thread on the camo tubed out 87 truck on pirate! Wasn't it on the people of Wal Mart website or something as well?? I was wondering what happened to that thing. That was a cool pig as well. Welcome to the world of tacomas!

HAHA! It was on the sister website, youdrivewhat.com. I tried looking for it again but couldn't find it.

I cut most of the tubing off, put a bend and fenders on it and painted it a normal shade green. Ran it down pretty hard still and sold it for parts.

also wired three 12v outlets to the bed box for RTT lights, heated blanket, etc:

Works great for now, i'll clean up the underhood junctions some more, maybe relocate my aux. fuse panel into the bed box with the new battery. not sure. Maybe also save $$ for a Blue Sea isolater

Took a trip to dump some scrap metal....trying to kick a wasted longblock SBC off the tail gate was fun. spun a 180*, tipped off the side of the tailgate, bending the corner of it and destroying my effing taillight. add that to the Amazon wishlist! I should remember that's why I have a 69 Ford F-250 this kid of crap.

    IMG_3564.jpg

Also finally got my chinese snorkel hats!

    Replaced my tail lights.

Also bought four of these LED lightbar tube mounts to mount my RTT. it's been pretty windy almost everyday, so I haven't unfolded it all yet and sat in it lol

    IMG_3573.jpg

Kinda wish I had my old 85's flatbed, and I'd make one of those big aluminum Aussie-style tray/canopy combos. Someday.

Also started my rear bumper/swingout setup. Used an 18W LED from Amazon for a center backup light
    IMG_3608.jpg

    IMG_3613.jpg

got all mounts, receiver fabbed, d-rings, and cut the hole for the A to Z Fab spindle kit. that should come tomorrow.

Interesting idea for the fender flares, I may give it a try.

I think buying some UHMV sheets from onlinemetals.com would look nicer, but this stuff was at Lowe's. I couldn't find factory 01-04 flares to retrofit, and the only other options are $400 Bushwackers. I might buy the ebay chinese ones for the front to see how they work. Me and the wife are making a serious effort to relocate to Oregon this year, their mudflap/flare laws are a little stricter than MT

First time working with one of those Carr Lane cam latches. Took quite a bit of fiddling and thinking, but it works great now. Also bought the spring pin from HF to keep it held open

I also made an aluminum folding tray, but didn't take pics of that yet. Threw on an old backpack cover and it looks a lot more #EAF now!

thats with some squat in the rear from the RTT

The wheels are kinda unique, factory 15x8 3.5BS from a Chevy CUCV Blazer, M1009. I like em. Centers were cutout for the big Toyota hubs

Finally got a little dirt under my wheels, scoped out some sand dunes. First time in my life ever seeing dunes. Didn't push my luck because I was alone with the wife and kids
