def would love one, if u could cost one out with the trd that would be great if too much, any chance you could give me specs for the skidplate. i know thats alot to ask, but this is something that would be amazing to have

Hey MetalMiller, do you make skid plates to cover/protect the two exposed catalytic converters? Something like this http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/14077-my-way-stop-cat-theft.html but with more ventilation and more of a direct bolt on. i live in southern cali and there are is a lot of cat theives. Let me know if that is something you would consider making.

 

I can definately fab one of those up! I'll need to toy with mounting options. I would make alot more holes for ventilation but the cat would be inaccessible.

 

If it would bolt on with security type bolts that would work so if it did in the rare occasion need to be looked at by a mechanic it could. but for the most of the time where you say it would be inaccessible, that is fine as the point would be more of a theft deterent. just was reading a recent thread on here about another catalytic converter theft. i'm sure a lot of tacoma owners on here would be interested it.

Yeah, I believe shipping to canada is about 80 bucks... I'd have to double check though. Shoot me a pm with what you'd need.

 

So is this skid plate an extra to go over the stock one or just if you don't have one at all?

 

It replaces the stock plate.

As far as 1st gens, I will be working on those in the near future. I just have to knock some other projects out first
