does anyone know if a front end, ie under the engine, skid plate from a Prerunner would be a direct fit and bolt on to a base Tacoma with a 2.4 liter engine?

Also, is there any reason you can think of as to why I shouldn't do it?

    Thanks in advance.

Different engines will have different skidplates to accommodate the oil filter (which is on the bottom on a 2.4 liter) and the drain plugs and such.

The drain hole might be different. But mounting will be the exact same. Actually would be surprised if the drain plugs were the same.
