That is a good analogy. I went with mine because the updated plate/inserts are actually matted together, to increase durability / impact resistance vs stickers.

My vote is OEM, not everyone is on the rocks daily getting the skid beat to shit!! I see the stickers maybe coming off in heavy rain! I have stickers on my FN FX wheels, wish they had slots to put something better on, heard the stickers come off eventually. My skid letters are painted red, that is also a option! my .02

I’ve seen both skid plates and have the toughskinz inserts. The 2019 skid plate is exactly the same as the 2018. The lettering provided toughskinz are much better than the it comes with- factory inserts. The ones on eBay suck and they will not stay on the skid plate, I’ve tried it already, avoid those ones. My vote it is toughskinz.

6696E4D1-AAB2-41CF-8E4D-00B58E6841E2.jpg @Bertw192 I went with the gloss red. It’s looks and is holding up great; went thru snow, rain, dirt, etc. It’s been 8months now.

@ZYBORG How old are you? Your comments are something a teenager would comment or reply. Do you have pictures of your skid plate w TRD insert. What do you recommend? What do you have? Do share?

You come in here stating your information as “facts” when you havent a clue as to what you are talking about.

Then you attack me, when I “call your bluff”?

    Come on, Sir... Really?
