Well, that sucks on your part, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. And I am in no way defending douche at this point, but I will say it is blatantly clear he gives zero fucks about anyone but himself and pretty much refuses to communicate with any of his customers. I'm pretty sure the only reason he even got back to this is because he was at risk of an actual lawsuit from the thousands owed. I don't know if there is any hope left for this one last order, and we'll have no way of knowing until suddenly he ships it. I'm assuming he blew through everyones money already on designer jeans (or was that TrexTRD, i forget?), and is having to scrounge pennies together to try to meet the remaining orders. He's a waste of air IMO and shouldn't be allowed on any forums after this escapade. His 'apology' to me and then his bullshit excuses to everyone else really pissed me the fuck off, its one thing if "hey guys, lost my job/my arm/my truck/had to use the money for real life problems, ill try to get orders out when I can or refunds" but his complete lack of communication the whole time was just ritarded. (I can say that because I have a ritard friend((its from a movie(((its a joke, dont be offended((((if you are, i dont care))))))))))

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate the effort. Unfortunately I do not believe in it and if he does it will be half hearted and incorrect.

Not trying to start shit, but I was reading the OBA On Board Air Thread from the beginning and came across this exchange between @benbacher and shitgear. I thought it was interesting enough to repost here. I've posted the Clifnotes below but it starts at Post #76 in the linked thread. I'm sure it wasn't long after that benbacher was offered a King's ransom in bitcoin...LOL.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/oba-on-board-air-mega-thread-bs.299523/page-4

benbacher: What is you do for a living skygear (if that IS your real name)? :p
    Just curious

skygear: I'm a philanthropist. Hence why I am broke al the time. I offer my skill set(s) for free to most, take care of my family the rest of the time.

Jack of all trades, master of many. I like to deal with facts, not fiction and will research something til I am proficient in it.

benbacher: You can make money being a philanthropist?

    skygear: Nope. By definition,

a person who seeks to promote the welfare of others, esp. by the generous donation of money to good causes.

Instead it is my skills that I give away for free. Where in most circles, by trade, that is money.

Yep, I remember that. Sidenote, I installed my skygear fusebox and man, that guy did some good electrical work. Super happy with it. Although I realized he had made my mount out of a street sign hahahaha

I actually got a phone call today from Skygear. He seemed to be remorseful for the delay and recent mix ups. He ended up pulling my package and going back over it since I emailed him a reminder of everything I ordered and we talked about it a good while, I gave hime some exact measurements of my roof rack for the lighting on top. He also said he was going to through in some extra items. Though he is incliding metra connectors instead of deutch because of the 30 amp rating, but is willing to send me others if I am unsatisfied. (I am quite aware of the metras, but also like the duetch connectors and think that there 20 or so amp rating is more than enough for led lights). He did give me tracking information and hopefully some time early next week I may have closure on this long wait and be able to finish what I started on my truck.

Wow. I was one of the "lucky" ones that received their box but not all of the switchbacks. I only waited a year and had just wired up my lights by then. I sold my box at a loss to another TW member at a bit of a loss, but he was happy. I can't believe this is still not over.

I received a box from Skygear but am not home to check out that everythig is as ordered. I appreciate the help of the forum in getting this sotuated out. Hopefullymitnis right and anyone else who is left out there's in the wind gets there stuff.

A lesson learned. It is difficult to be your own boss, no matter the alure it provides. At one time or another you will be tested when you hit on the one thing that is valuable to others. Remeber in the end you are remebered for how you handle the worst part of anything when you hit it big. Don't overstreach yourself and make promises you cannot keep, even to the point of keeping it order by order so you can keep your promises. If you need help get it. Dont let it go as far as this who shebang went and quit when your ahead. Youll be better remembered in the end for how you handle it than just your product alone.

If someone is in contact with skygear, please ask him to refund my money. Not bashing but it has been 15 months and only hear from him once about 6 months into this. Thanks

Do you have a paypal receipt or email proof of being in contact with Skygear about something? What did you order and what does he owe you?
