I've had my 2nd tacoma for a little over a month now and can't stop thinking of mods that I can't afford! One thing I can afford though is some wood and carpet to make a sleeping platform because I love to camp! So i have a few questions; 1) I have a Leer camper shell and is it possible to easily take the cross members out if I need to? 2) is it really that uncomfortable to sleep in? Even with some thick memory foam pads? And 3) share pics of your sleeping platform if you have any!

I get an air mattress and throw a little mattress pad on top, it's pretty damn comfy.
