Sliders and dealers???

Well with my tax return I want to get some sliders for my truck. The cheaper way is by welding them on. So will that void my warrenty??? I've read where it can and can't.

It would probably void the warranty if there was some damage to the frame resulting from the slider. It has to be relevant to the modification. So they couldn't deny a warranty claim on your engine or transmission because a slider was attached to the frame. They also have to prove the modification caused the problem. It's not enough to say that it's not covered just because there's a modification to it.

So for example, if your frame developed a crack where the sliders were put on, they would probably deny warranty coverage of the frame.

 

Or when you fry any of the electronics while welding
