@5nahalf This picture is great. All the sliders I see have square or round tube leading from frame. TJM seems to have totally different approach. Any sense that is a limitation of the TJM? Price is right.

I think many choose square or round pipe to connect because its easy and they have it on hand. TJM has this open mount that seems like a better solution in terms of cleaning, and rust proofing.

I wish I knew more about these sliders, but unfortunately I have a long bed, and they only make them for the short bed. So my hands on experience is limited to the pictures and the research I have done on them.

Caliraised has garbage sliders. If you want sliders, get 0 degree sliders. They will still serve their purpose and at the same time you can step on them easily. If your worried about your girlfriend banging her knee on your slider you should probably be helping her up into your truck. Check out mobtown offroad.

What is garbage about them? Do they not protect the vehicle as they are intended to do?

Garbage. That says it all. What more do you need to know? Kidding. Ignore posts like that which make a statement that says nothing. No credibility.

That is what I figured but still if he has some sort of reasoning for saying that I'm all ears. Maybe he had them and they failed somehow or maybe they didn't suit his needs, just trying to get some clarification.

They are built too closely to the body which in turn is a fucking retarded design. The point of a rock slider is to have you pushed away from the rock minimizing damage. Function > form

Not all are designed to push you away from objects. They are however designed to protect the cab from damage. Hence the name rock slider, they slide over the rocks so your body doesn't.

Thanks for the reply though. Glad to know you just don't like the design and it isn't some sort of product failure.

Photos below make it pointless for this to be a “slider”

Theyre supposed to provide protection. Not just from shopping carts, but from big ass rocks too.

If they don't deform and/or deflect in to the body, then having them nice and tucked in is no problem at all. The idea isn't the push you away from rocks, it's to save you from body damage.

You get what you pay for. Caliraised is a shit company for sliders, that’s my only gripe.
