Well, they actually aren't very cheap for sliders...so I don't get your point.

(don't get me wrong, I despise companies who's business model is to rip-off other companies and their hard original work...so there isn't and won't be any cali-raised on my truck)

You're starting to sound like you have a chip on your shoulder.

Most of the people who install these aren't going to be running 35's, 4.88's, and doing any serious rock crawling. CaliRaised sliders will easily protect your rig from landing on a few big rocks and give you some extra piece of mind, plus they're great for what OP is looking for. Relax, or maybe offer some suggestions of your own instead of just shitting on what others have done.

Check out our 25 Degree Sliders! They are super low-profile profile to the truck. You can choose between Bolt-On or Weld-On. Bolt-On sliders come with all the required hardware you need for the install and are installed with zero modification to your truck.

I would recommend considering getting sliders that stick out. I was in a minor accident last week and my CaliRaisedLed 0 degree sliders actually saved my side panels and took off the bumper from the Honda that otherwise would have sideswiped me. other person was at fault but they saved me from all the insurance bs

I'll be honest, I probably would not do the wheeling I do with Caliraised sliders, they offer minimal protection.

I’m pretty happy with my bolt on RCI 5 degree sliders. They don’t stick out much further than the tire in the back where they curve out. They’re pretty robust and also usable as steps. And they’ll protect not only from rocks, but from those old people and kids opening doors!

Here are mine, they aren’t in the way getting in or out unless you are leaning in for a kiddo seat belt. I have kick out on the rear but the front should be fine, left rear measurement in since I had a tape measure in that pic

I would want the sliders to stick out for added door ding protection in parking lots, as well as rocks on the trails. An "on the ball" slider mfgr would also add safe step ability for the doors and passengers getting in and out.

I’ve got the bud built rock rails. They are tucked up and not in the way getting in and out at all. Not the side impact protection but plenty for underneath. Fits my needs perfectly as my off reading is minor league...lol

I wonder why such the discrepancy in pricing, even for DOM. Budbuilt is $500 (and others) and then there we others $800 and more...

    Because people pay it.

When Warn first came out with their front bumper it was $400, now its $800. people pay it, so everyone just assumes anything under that price is made cheaply.
We need a price correction to happen on many things, especially the used part market, I see 2 year old parts selling for $5-$10 less than new... and people are buying them.

Same reason these companies charge $200+ for getting bumpers, sliders, etc powder coated...because they can.
