yep. your best bet is to all up one of the fab shops that do sliders that you like, and see if they could weld some plate onto the middle/top to make steps, but still have the strength of sliders.

avid offroad has weld on sliders (can be used as steps as well)
or they have sliders that bolt on that are for stepping on only, will not hold the weight of the truck. they bolt into factory mounting points.

Contact jerry (jlee) and get some BAMF sliders, he will do a custom angle and add filler plates.

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
The first ones are very pricey. Are they even actual sliders? or imitaions?

as for the demello and avid offroad, those are actual sliders but will function as a step for the kids.

I bought some Trail Gear sliders for Addicted Off-Road for $250 or near there. Addicted OR had the same Trail Gear sliders but cheaper than the Trail Gear website. Anyway, I think your better going with actual sliders. I put Skatboard tape on the foot traffic areas for my girls and they work perfect

    enough to go over stuff
I picked up these ones cheap. told my wife they were steps and had them welded on. They are flat so they really do look like steps.

They are at the bottom of the link

I built a set for the wifey's dmax out of square tubing. I used some skateboard grip tape on the wear spots. They work great, even when it's icy, plus the hilift seems to fit better than round tube.

    They are flat.

I have brute force sliders. they came with some assembly required-so I could set my own angle. I set the angle at about 7 degrees so they are pretty flat. Function as great steps when needed :D

Also, Billy at brute force is awesome and could probably do some custom plating work for ya if you want. I think I paid around 3-400 for my sliders. Got in on the Alaska group buy pricing/shipping so not sure what the standard cost is.
