Has anyone here actually had a vibration fixed by using the ring (as opposed to having it fixed when switching to a hubcentric wheel)?

I ask because I dont believe there's any way a plastic/rubber/paper piece of junk fixes a vibration. In sports cars, using the rings is a terrible idea as they can melt under heavy breaking heat. They're strictly for getting the wheel centered when installing, and should be removed. If you do the lugs right (star pattern, tighten later) you get the same result.

In the OP's solution, he fixed is vibration by (in my opinion) swapping lugs which forced the wheel to be more centered. The rings were just there, not the fix.

So.. anyone? A piece of thin paper/plastic fixed a vibration? Any first hand experience?

Bump. Would love to get rid of my steering wheel vibe.

Any longterm updates regarding the plastic rings? I can't find anywhere that provides a 108 to 106.1 ring besides the poorly reviewed Gorilla ones in the OP.

I bought CECO brand hub rings on Amazon. They are aluminum and I've had no complaints since I bought them last November.

Are people having to run hub centric rings with SCS wheels?

SCS wheels are hub centric. No need for rings.

Didn’t think so. Only vibe I have is from the needle beating at 25mph. Just need to order the bearing and tool

    I have a question...maybe it’s a stupid question but..

My aftermarket rims are the American Outlaw Buckshot rims. The bore is 106. But I have the exact same problem that OP was having. Should I still try fix he is speaking of? Or is it something else???

So my rim has a 106.2mm bore. Discount tire says this wouldn’t cause a vibration, but they would be more than happy to install the rings to see if it works.

Discount Tire never mentioned rings. Bought some hoping to install tomorrow. Can someone provide a link to the lug nuts with extended thread?

So did anyone solve there vibration issues with just the extended thread lugs? I’m hesitant to buy the composite centering rings. The reviews are terrible but I also know how some people wrench on stuff lol.
