I just joined this forum to research what sounds like the same problem for my 19 Offroad! I had a 09 for ten years and loved it. I am seriously thinking of selling if I can't resolve this issue. I will keep checking to see if anyone has any solid fixes. Thanks!!

Yes, at first they told me it was just the way it was, then told me the fuel pump recall would fix it. A buddy told me he used the middle grade of gas and that helped. I have had the recall done, used the middle grade of gas for a year and still have the problem.

Try OvTune. I started using premium gas and on the premium tune. I wanna say it’s helped but can be placebo. I only recommend it because I’ve read other posts where the tune fixed their issue

Anyone else find a solution to this or had luck with shift sense mentioned earlier? I’m having the same issue and so frustrated with it.

    A few.
Some people dont believe it and I might not either if I hadnt experienced it myself but running 89 or higher octane makes it alot less noticable. Ive been buying bottles of octane boost at walmart because its cheaper per tank than paying for higher octane at the pump. Takes a couple tank fulls to notice it

My 22 has the infamous transmission shudder. My wife’s Acura rdx had the same issue. Hers was so bad I could have swore it was a fuel issue. Took it into our Acura dealership and they said it’s a known issue. Hondas fix was to drain and flush the transmission 3 times. It completely fixed the shudder. This is the route I am going.

I have yet to find a cheap octane booster at wallyworld that actually raises the octane level of gas. As far as any shudder issue like that, never experienced in my v6 auto tacoma.

Thanks, I broke down and ordered the shift sense pro. Should be in next week. I’ll report back if it fixes it. If the problem persists I’ll try flushing.

Installed shift sense. Better shift points but the problem persists with shuddering at certain Rpms. Disappointing. Should have stuck with the jeeps

From what i mostly gather this shudder issue seems more likely with the 2019 tacoma's. A buddy that had a 2019 trd had the issue to plus the truck seemed to have less power than my 2020 that has no shudder issues whatsoever. I think toyota knew about the issue, and solved it for the next model year.

Don't think so. My late 2020 has the shudder feel.
