When I took my truck in for provincial inspection it failed the first time -

Leaking rear axle seals (quoted $1300! got my uncles mechanics to do it for cost of parts - $900)

and no DRL (there was a module hanging in the engine bay!)

So I took it back for reinspection and I got them to install the rear diff breather mod for the whopping cost of the union! ($10)

    Gave them this guide:

There are 2 types of emblems on my truck. The front door "Toyota Tacoma" had a nicer, newer finish. When I first started with peeling the excess, i was kind of tracing around the letters, and sort of cutting away as I peeled because I was fearing pulling would tear it off the emblem as well.

I sprayed too heavy on the first emblem, and it kind of pooled at the bottom of the letters. So I eased up on the thick coats on the rest.

I put too little on the tailgate emblems. They are also made of something different than the door ones, and I was still using the trace of tactic, left the result sloppy.

On the door "limited" small lettering, They were deteriorated before I sprayed them, so the rubber stuck of little more to the letters. I also lifted the "L" off when peeling, so I'm gonna debadge the "Limited" on the rear door.

The badge that went perfect was the passenger "Toyota Tacoma". Perfect amount of spray, plus I just peeled it off, no toothpick, it came off very clean.

I cleaned the badges with isopropyl and did 4 coats, 30 minutes between and a very light heat gun from 2.5 or feet away for 15-20 seconds, just enough to get some wind on em right after I did a coat.

    Hope that helps!

Stock size 265/70/r16 yes. The tread is 45-60%.

I got them in the Wet Okole group buy. http://www.wetokole.com

Did the deckplate mod help you out any performance wise? Did it produce a cool sounding sound after installing?

It has been dyno'd and you get 8hp.

I think the acceleration is a bit peppier.

I never really get my truck over 2500rpm, but when you hammer it it sounds more like a truck. Not super significant but it's there.

For a total of less than $20 you cannot pass up this mod. Get a hole saw, it made it very simple for me.

After doing the floor pieces and liking that so much, I thought i'd do the console and seat pieces. I thought the inside plastic piece on each seat would come right off as well, but as far as I can tell you have to remove the whole top half of the seat. So they stay grey :(

Bahaha they ordered extra stock for me, but I grabbed the last can before the big spray down, and i'm glad I did. I ran out of my stock after 2 coats. So the short answer is: no there is none left and I told them to order more!
