I don't want to go with a full bumper and really like the Slimline/Low Profile design that just replaces the crash bar. I know SSO makes one, but I don't like the way that it doesn't follow the contour of the cut out. I also would like it as flush as possible not wanting it to protrude beyond what the current crash bar does. Anyone make anything like this?

Mobtown has one, but I don’t think they include the bar. Check here: mobtownoffroad.com

What bar? The crash bar? I’m pretty sure all of these types of bumpers are going to require removing the crash bar. And all will stick out at least a little bit further than the crash bar. That bar is pretty far behind the plastic bumper.

It looks like they copied each other's design. The SOS looks the closest to what I am looking for. I really like the Warn because it looks like they follow the curve, but it is bigger than what I am looking for. What shocks me the most is the cost of the light bars. A 30" led light bar can double the price of the bumper.

You can roll the dice on some Amazon lights. maybe do some searches in the light area of the forum to see if there are some cheaper alternatives.

The Warn doesn't require cutting.. which is nice if you ever want to go back to stock

Which part of the cut don’t you like? If I had it to recut I’d left even more material on the second section from the bottom and would of got it to follow the lines a bit better but I’m perfectly happy with the way it turned out. The bull bar doesn’t stick out any, just goes straight up and not out like some do. A64C1271-E7FB-4E72-9F60-BB867D2317C5.jpg

That is exactly the close up picture I was looking for. I'm not a fan of the gap that is created to the right of the bull bar because of two angles they put in instead of rolling the steel around the arc. I realize it would be a lot of extra work to get it right, but my OCD focuses in on that spot every time. I'm sure it is a minor detail, but I can't get past it.

I do see what you mean, not sure what could be done but now I’m wondering if some 3M automotive tape could be applied and hold the edging to the bumper. May experiment if it ever quits raining around here.

Their directions suck imo. Mine came out okay but they're still lacking.

That may not be a bad idea. I wonder if heating it up with a heat gun and reshaping the plastic would work as well.

Amen!! Had I not used the modified cut line that’s listed here I’d been very unhappy. If I had it to redo I’d just cut the very end of the nose off of the bumper then do the install then trim it to fit.

And as for taking the fenders loose and removing the grill I didn’t do any of that and had no issues.

More food for though. I’m happy with mine but if it can be improved I’m all for it.

That's what I should have done. I used the modified cut line and mine is still wonky. Almost seems like the bumper is welded wrong. I got mine when they were having welding issues

    He means this gap...

    20190419_080141.jpg

In reality, over time, the plastic conforms to the double angle and that gap closes up.

That was my thought on these. Looks like trying to fit a squared peg into a round hole to me. Like you I can find myself quite obsessive about fit. The rest of the front end on these trucks is quite angular...except for that opening. I like the no cut option the SSO gives, but just couldn't quite fall in love with it.

All of these guys have done great jobs of fitting in winch capable low profile bumpers in that area, but at the end of the day, the C4 is the one that did it for me. Yeah, I suppose the top hoop could be angled a little further back for my tastes, and the cutting on a new truck was a little nerve racking, but the C4 checked off more boxes for me than the others, so C4 it was.

    b20170917_173116.jpg

They also have a version without the hoop.
