Slip yoke and U joint

    allright, on my 5 lugger Tacoma, would getting the Slip yokes and u joint greased up more help the dreaded tacoma thump when stopped?

    Do you feel the thump when you release the brake after stopping? If so the slip yoke going into the trans should be greased on the splines. to eliminate the thump.

    yeah, it does it after i stop and when i take my foot off the brake

    Pull the drive shaft out mark the position of the bolts and grease the inside spline portion on the slip yoke into the trans with white lithium grease,problem should be gone. Dealers call this a drive shaft service. Hope this helps...
