Also i still say suspension man! Your 4lo can handle the crawling you do, but having the suspension to go fast over shit will be so much more fun!

 

yea..comes to cost i think. And don't worry. Dual ARBs will happen. For for now i think a lockrite would work for a few years.

My suspention over haul is gonna run me close to 10k man i think could be a while for that..

Fender trim gone. Does look better, because chrome sucks ass. And black bumper is now on the truck. No more primer.

 

Looks a lot better without that fender trim! I took mine off quite a while ago, and man I'm liking that bumper!

Got both inner cv boots done. as with all of my projects done in twos the first is a cluster fuck, first boot swap took about 6 hours and was a disaster, second one was done in 90 minutes and went on without a hitch. Figures.

Old boots were dry rotted in place and hardly moved at all, new boots are flexible and shiney! Got each boot kit for $9.5 on rockauto, best 20 bucks i spent. So far boots are holding up, we will see on the drive to moab, but it was just a good thing to replace them.

Blown ass boot, flung grease everywhere.


axle out, not to hard once you have done it. remove brake, pound off dust cover, remove cotter pin and castle nut, take off lower ball joint bolts, slide spindle off half shaft, pry and tug half shaft out of diff. done.




new boots on. Swapping the boot is a greasy mess. You cut the old boot, take off the doj tri roller joing thing by sliding down the c clip, and taking off the sap ring a bit down the shaft, then slide over the new boot and fill the cup with grease. Replace snap ring and put c clip in place and put joint and cup together. Tighten cv band and reinstall into the truck





also got an alignment done so my wheel is straight and no more positive camber! pretty much moab ready!

Alright joe here it is, the bed rack I got from joe. Gonna weld bars to make it one piece, and create space for many things, tire, hi lift shovel, 4x4 box, tire change box ect


It looks like there is room for a full size spare on a shelf under neath the top bars, will have to measure though.

Gotta get this project done before the epic wyo trip!
