Nothing major or fancy. Just stuff to make it work better for me. Running boards, seat covers, BakFlip
I'm a small business owner and I'll write off every cent that I legally can. No apology for that...if I didn't do it I wouldn't be in business very long.

And the people that work for me? I figure that a good crew doesn't cost you money, a good crew makes money for you. They get treated accordingly.

I'm not saying add regulations nor do I support or agree with a lot of them, but to some respect they need to be in place because without some sort of boundariesor restrictions things would be even worse. Both the employer and employee needrights, does this not make sense? Its those that violate these right simply becausethey think they can get away with it and greed basically drives this.

My point was some people who are owners really take advantage of the factthat they own a business and essentially steal from the backbone of thiscountry, which is middle class.

I do appreciate everyone’s responses even though I realize most are gabs forthe purpose of arguing to demonstrate superior intelligence or something.

I'm not talking all small companies, wow what a response.

Go get a beer, relax and re-read.

Let’s say I own a business and I decide that I want to go buy a personalcomputer for my daughter B-day and write it off as a business expense… is thisokay? No, but I wouldn't rant about it.

See this example is noting close to the magnitude of right-offs I'mreferring to and have seen. Think large scale like write offs for personalvehicles clearly not used for the business.

...well there's misuse, and then there's legitimate "write-off" of expenses, deprecitation, etc... small businesses have a much harder time competing in the market place w/ large chain businesses (mainly they don't have the supply chain, lawyers, and lobbying capability), ..so by paying less in taxes (which is what write-offs are) and providing unique service/products they have a chance to succeed - which equals more "choices" and competetion for consumers, let alone more employment...

If the computer is used only one time then you could use it as a write off. Same thing with a vehicle. It may only be used every now and then for the business but can still qualify.
If your curious then ask your accountant.

The owners of small companies accept ALL of the financial risk of that company , maybe we should all just be employees , it would be great to show up 5 minutes before work and leave 1 minute after and not get any phone calls at night .

We have these boxes that receive paper from a great distance. They are mostly out dated for Us, but one day, you folks may get the technology.
