    Spill it already

This thread is now obvoiusly a rant against a single company , too bad you didn't just say that rather than lump all small business owners together and painted everybody with your bullshit broadstroked accusastions and generalizations

It's pretty clear you have a bone to pick with a specific retailer...so making broad strokes about small business was a bad move to start with.

And if you have all this behind the scene insight about illegal write offs and/or underhanded business practices-Why have you not talked to the police/DA/IRS. And don't give me the "it's too complicated for that" BS...If you know of illegal activity-certainly illegal activity that has deprived you of money and/or products-you should have 0 excuses for not reporting it.

So come off this BS small business rant and spit it out or give it up.

Sure. I was just referring to your "step on their throat" competitive model and saying it's not always the case. Competition is everywhere, but not every businessman is out to crush his competition. There are ways of doing business without falling into that mentality.

Bingo. This is what I was thinking.

As for where this thread has gone in the day since I read it, I'm certainly opposed to the OP's broadstroke generalizations of small businesses. The beautiful thing about the Internet is that you can look up a product/service and immediately get feedback on what they are offering. There's also outlets like Consumer Reports to help educate on the details.

The other neat thing is that you can have immediate effect in the case something goes amiss. Didn't get the product you had ordered? Extended delivery times? Shitty quality? With the tap-tap of some keystrokes and a few clicks of the mouse you can cut into their business by posting reviews.

But now we're turning to politics and I'm out.

I'm not posting anything relevant to the discussion here just so the thread gets locked and I get another infraction for talking about stuff we aren't supposed to. Hopefully this won't lead to getting banned for trying to not get banned.

Pretty harsh calling someone an idiot you don't even know.

By the way if the products popular and most buy it others will follow, simple logic really. Research was initially done and TC UCAs are now they are a popular choice and as a result more and more people buy them. Great product by the way!

Also to clear things up, I never said all small businesses take advantage. I was merely stating that some do and that the couple I know of, specifically one in particular, are going extreme. This of course has an impact on both the employees and everyone else.

To say these companies won't last due to bad business is not always true. A lot of them do last and I just think the destruction they cause is pretty sad. I feel terrible for the person stuck dealing with this, but at the same time it’s not my place to call the company out so they can be shit-canned.

As for myself, my job is great I get to save lives for a living and make a pretty healthy income doing so.

By the way, when I call someone an idiot I usually do it to their face because otherwise you just sound like a little bitch

Sorry we don't see eye-to eye on this, but no biggy. Have a good Friday

I don't even know what this thread was about to start with. But on the topic or regulation, I can understand the negative sentiments about the overly complicated web our current governments (US or Canada) have evolved into.

But consider the other extreme. Zero regulation takes us back to criminal corruption, say the child labor abuse of the 1800s or to the current Mexican drug cartels, as someone mentioned, or the current slave trafficking for prostitution (often children) practiced many nations.
