switch to verizon and you'll have a whole plethora of smart phones to choose from now that they are getting the iphone, they pretty much supply every option of smart phone. my personal choice is the droid. the android OS is pretty solid.

If you stick with ATT, SAMSUNG CAPTIVATE! Awesome phone, I have had it since August. Just dont get it for the GPS, they are still trying to fix it. But other than that. AMAZING. Great pictures, ANDROID rocks.

I have a Sprint/Nextel BB Curve and I can't wait to get a new service/phone. I'm not happy with Sprint's coverage and I can't get my e-mail to work with the phone, even with customer service's help. I've been looking at the Droid Incredible, with either AT&T or Verizon.

HTC incredible is Verizon only, the Captivate rocks....their best Android so far, wont be disappointed I assure you. Or just wait and do some research and see what it up and coming.

Oh, well I guess I'm leaning towards Verizon. I've only ever dealt with Sprint but I'm sick of not having service where my friends do.

iphone 4 is very solid. Had the 3G prior to the iPhone 4 and it is a dog compared to the 4.

I will say that what Ive seen of coworkers Android driven phones is that it comes at a cost... to the battery. I do not know what the other phone manufacturers are using but the battery life is sucked out of them by noon.

Did a side by side comparison to a coworkers HTC Galaxy. Started at 100% battery and ran the same movie on Netflix, ran Pandora for 1 hour, conducted a 15 minute phone call completed the same text messages to each other 30 times and ran the iPod/Android music thing for 1 hour. My battery reported 73% his was well into the red. Don't know what percentage it was but he plugged it in. My iPhone ran the rest of the day and when I plugged it in at the end of the day it was at 46%.

My captivate, can stream pandora for most of the day plus texting and google maps being used the whole time too. I just hate Apple, so thats why I went android, but given the chance, I would switch to Verizon in a minute. They have much better coverage and phones too. I am just stuck till my contract runs out. and Verizons LTE will make 3g look likes childs play once they get it established.

i have a HTC Incredible and love it! i've had it since it very first came out and never had a problem with it. its just the right size, not to big and not too small, its just right. it may may not be the fanciest phone out there anymore, but it still kicks ass!

I had the iPhone 3G. I "upgraded" to an android phone and the OS was nowhere as good as the Apple OS!! I hear that there is a new version of the Android OS out now so im not sure how good it is. I sold it a week later and bought the iPhone 4. It is MUCH faster than my 3G was. And, like someone said earlier, the battery life is amazing. I have never had to charge it during the middle of the day. It's a very solid phone.

I don't own an iphone (or smart phone) but....

When was the last time you upgraded your firmware?

My mother-in-laws phone Env3 was shutting off and acting up - all she needed was a firmware update.

If you're 'on a budget' - you should be able to buy another battery, I just don't now how much they cost and whether its worth it (for you).

if Sprint service is a consideration, the Evo is awesome. It does chew up some batteries if you don't manage the apps. Had mine since august and have been very pleased.
