Just picked up a DD-1 distortion detector from D'Amore Engine'ring. This meter is used to set perfect, un-distorted gains for any amplifier, as well as, used to find the highest un-distorted volume setting for your factory and aftermarket stereo head-unit.. I have used the multi-meter method and still had clipping from the speakers.

Just putting it out there for folks in the Bay Area. For $10 I'll help set your gains. PM me if you are interested. I'm located in Fremont.
