Roof mats are similar to horse mats but thinner and form decently with some heat. I had some left over from my roof and its been working pretty well for the fender liners.

It took forever to get the second hoop to match the first, but I got it done. And yes they’ll be removable when I’m done.

And thanks @Torspd for the heads up on the different oil filler neck options. I’m going to pick up both the FJ and Tundra neck to see which one works better.

People tend to get impatient with these builds :D

Interesting. I think this is the first time I see a double brace like that. I like it a lot.

I am assuming you are running the spacers on the front axle for a dual purpose... Both to convert the 8x170 to 8x6.5 and to match the van axle width?

My fancy wheels are the main driving factor. The backspacing and lower link placement weren't playing nice for one. The tire would hit the link before I reached full extension on the ram. Second, the damned Hutchensons have a slightly smaller bore diameter than the hub on the axle. That was a fun one to find out.

All of that stems from me buying parts before I had the axle or knew what I was doing. :D It was cheaper to buy the quality hub and wheel centric spacers than buy new wheels.

I'm also running a spacer on the rear to keep from having to notch the frame for the shocks.

I trimmed, sliced, welded, and beat my way into the passenger side tire clearing lock to lock at full stuff.

    Photo Dec 02, 2 17 45 PM.jpg Photo Dec 02, 5 45 35 PM.jpg Photo Dec 02, 2 20 08 PM.jpg Photo Dec 02, 2 20 12 PM.jpg Photo Dec 02, 2 27 09 PM.jpg Photo Dec 02, 2 30 13 PM.jpg Photo Dec 02, 4 15 36 PM.jpg

All welded up. I'll have to make a new lower bracket for the fender and headlight, but they'll both still fit.

    Photo Dec 02, 4 15 43 PM.jpg

I beat the shit out of the firewall, but didn't have to trim anything. I might have to bring the bigger hammer out to move it a bit further back.

    Photo Dec 02, 4 15 59 PM.jpg

With the axle moved forward I didn't need to relocate the body mount, but I did add a body mount chop plate from Insane Fab. The bull nose plate works out pretty damn nice.
