That was part of the mountain logo that ran across the hood.

The brakes are much better! The brakes aren't perfect, but they're serviceable. It's apparent I need a proportioning valve as the back end likes to get happy under braking.

    Bench bleeding the master.

Of course the outlet on the Tundra MC are on the other side, so I had to make some adapter lines to mate up with the lines I had just built.

    Photo Jan 20, 11 47 17 AM.jpg
The clutch was fed with the stock MC reservoir, so I had to improvise. The motorcycle reservoir I picked up mounted to the tundra reservoir quite nicely.

    Photo Jan 20, 11 56 28 AM.jpg Photo Jan 20, 11 56 49 AM.jpg
The feed line for the clutch even matched up with it.

I rolled her out for a test drive and had to move the Dirt Squirrel out of the way to get out. I figured it would be fun for a size comparison shot.

I have some wiring to clean up and I need to change the oil, but she's damn near ready to roll out to KOH!

Right in the nick of time. Wonder if maybe there is still some air in the front lines?

It's certainly possible. I'm going to manually bleed them tomorrow when I have Alex over at the shop.

I'm not sure what year exactly, but I do know it's an 07 and up out of the 5.7L.

Nice, glad you were able to figure the brakes out. Definitely one of those systems that isn’t terribly complicated but one mismatched component can throw it off

I finally have a brake pedal! So I had both my stock master cylinder and the tundra master cylinder hooked up backwards. My assumption when attaching the lines at the master was that the front port was the front and the rear port was for the rear. So yeah, not so much.

Here's how it works. That rear port, closest to the firewall, is the port for the front brakes. Reason being, is that it's the larger diameter plunger and has a longer throw. The secondary port is the one furthest from the firewall. So when you stop on the brakes the first bit of pressure hits the front brakes and as you press further the rear brakes engage.

So yeah, I had some learning to do about brakes. The stock mc was hooked up improperly the first time as well, but wouldn't lock up the rear tires like the Tundra mc would. So the Tundra MC was definitely a necessary improvement.

    Accomplished yesterday:

    - New hard brake line from the mc to the front soft line
    - Switched ports on the mc
    - New spark plugs (probably the last set this motor will ever see)
    - Oil change
    - Painted the sliders
    - Added a ball valve and air chuck on the air compressor (Can fill tires in an emergency, or run the lockers with co2 if the compressor dies)

I'm planning on rolling out first thing Tuesday morning.

Here are the directions from my place to KOH:

    1. Drive one mile till you hit I10
    2. Drive 1450 miles
    3. Turn right
    4. Drive 40 miles
    5. You have arrived!
