    If only.

Well I did start the rebuild process today. I called Tom Woods and ordered up a duplicate front driveshaft, then placed a call to accutune.

2.5 King Coilovers, 14" travel, remote reservoir
2.0 King Air Bumps, 2.5" travel

Of course the associated goodies like cans and reservoir mounts are coming as well. The ORI's are coming off and going back to ORI to get freshened up, then they'll be up for grabs. Of course the ORI's are shorter compressed than any coilover on the market so I'll have to rebuild my upper mounts. Goodie!

Thanks bud, I do appreciate that. One of these days I'll get all the kinks worked out and wheel the whole weekend.

Why are you switching away from the ORI's?

They've leaked nitrogen and oil from the start, the two sides behave differently, no matter how much nitrogen I put in the lower chamber they still sway way too much, and they change ride height dependent on temperature.

They haven't been right since day one. With the 17 week lead time and the price they demand they should have been perfect when they showed up. The big leaks where external and I took care of those, but come on, did I really need to add teflon tape to a $1200 strut?

I don't care how much people knock Kings, that's just not an issue they frequently have. You're making the right decision, they don't fuck around.

Deep down you knew this would happen, you're just gonna have to get to engineering and make it better each time.

I saw that line you took, flop city for a rookie like me.
Youre paving the way for some of us dreamers and you bet your ass you'll be the 1st person I call if I ever can have a dedicated 2nd gen trail rig.

I honestly don't know why I didn't plate that area of the frame. Oh well, I'll take care of it now.

The high line on twister is reserved for rigs with a good amount of travel. I would have been on my lid last year if I'd of tried that. I'll see if I can get them uploaded here.

I was thinking the upper link ripped out of the 4Runner and wrecked all that stuff...

That’s an expensive day for you then. Serious bummer so quickly after finishing it.
