Why buy them? If you are refering to the blacked out headlight mod there is a write up over on CT.

    Blacked out headlight mod.

If your not wanting to go that route I guess your best bet is ebay.

If they were blacked out you'd probably get in trouble but its a very subtle change. You can tell in before and after pics, but i doubt anyone will notice out of the blue. I want to do it to my truck so bad but i am afraid tomess it up.

small dent on the hood, new foglight bulb, roughed up bedliner, been smoked in, suspicious stains on the passenger seat, boogers on the drivers seat, dirty floor mats, girl doodles on the dirty windows, loose wiring
remember how i melted my headlight the other day because i didnt know to turn off the oven?? well i decided screw the HID projectors, i dont wanna take the chance of them being crappy quality so i'm just getting a used passnger side headlight and trying the black headlight mod again. anything else i should know before i fire up the oven again?

get the oven preheated to 300....turn it off...then let the lights sit in there for like 6 mins...just to be safe. also, i took the screws out the back before i put them in so that i didnt have to dick w/ those when the light was all hot. then just do the process again by reheating the oven, turning it off, and putting them in. also, make sure u get a good seal when u reheat them to put them back together. dont need any moisture getting in there. and no matter what others say, u dont need any extra caulk or silicone to seal it up. just reheat them and press them together really hard and make sure the push tabs go back over their notches and it'll seal back fine.

I have done the BHLM and I have not had any problems. The only thing is that the turn signal indicator has to be that orangish color thats it. If you strictly just black out the housing of the light you should be fine.

What about clear-cornering the headlights? Has anyone done a write up on that yet? I assume it starts out like the BHLM removing and cracking the headlights, but then what?

Do you subtract and then replace parts? Or just subtract and add colored bulbs?

    Guide me, wizards of TW...

the bulbs are already amber for the corner and turn signal. all u'd have to do is leave out the amber lens for the turn and remove the amber reflector

Sweet. Only problem is these damn smoked 09 headlights...might have to go aftermarket or find someone to swap with...Have to wait and see. Looking to get a certain appearance with the combination of the chrome grille surround, a silver grillcraft grill, and the headlights.

Either way, the HLs are getting clearcornered. The question at this point is how well the grillcraft will match up with the current smoked HL trim. If it's pretty close, I'll just clearcorner my factory lights. If not, I'll probably be looking for some pre-09 HLs and then getting in there with some paint to color-match them to the grille + clear cornering.

If you decide to trade PM me I was trading my smoked 09s to people who had just regular HL's who would be interested.
