Correct, the plugs are rated to 60k from Toyota, well for the 2GR anyways.

Mine does the same thing I believe. It happened three times during my last trip. I mentioned it to @Sandman614 and a few of the other guys that were with us. Mine wasn't that bad though. It was a very light cloud that I noticed after a hill climb and I didn't know if it was my truck or someone else's at the time. Later on, it happened again (after a hill climb)

Do you remember this Tim? It was the hill climb right before we came to the section that I almost turned around on. When the 1st gen girl was up against the tree. (If that helps)

My (check oil) light comes on when I sit on an incline too long also.

Exactly why I haven't mentioned anything to my dealer about it. It crossed my mind the first time my (check oil) light came on but then i figured that would be the response.

I remember the spot but don't remember talking about smoking. If your oil light comes on on an incline or off camber it would sound like your oil level is low, how does it read on your dipstick? Maybe the 3rd gens have a design flawed oil pan that lets the oil move away from the oil pickup?

Yeah, first time that ever happened was the downhill section right before jimbo broke his 3rd at Choccolocco. Since then it's happened on about every steep incline. When I check the levels they're fine. Idk. It's weird

Mine takes about 6.2 quarts for the Tacoma. I don't think it's 5.9.

It takes that much to reach the fill line on the dipstick?

Maybe the 'smoke' is really just a ghost that haunts choccolocco?

Yea when I change it (I don't let dealerships touch it). I drain it and put in 5.5 quarts, then run the engine for about 10 seconds to fill the oil filter, then shut it off and fill it do the dipstick top mark.

Normally about 6.1 to 6.2 quarts.

curious how you're distinguishing between .1 and .2 qts lol. I don't doubt it would take a little more than the spec.

I'm not refuting the data, just nice to know the source to know if it's accurate.

Skepticism is understandable, it's a dealer only access system for reference information.
