This. I was about to post something similar. Bigger is NOT better when it comes to snatch straps.

ARB 3/4" shackles and the ARB strap mentioned above and you're set.

I personally love my bubba rope with red eyes, however. Have ARB and Bubba and I seem to be reaching for the Bubba more often than not.

I'm scared to see the ratchet that you have for that hex nut.

In relevant news: As others have said. ARB, Wheeler's or Southeast Overland ~17K recovery straps. Folks have good things to say about TGL / RhinoGear as well.

Invest in GOOD bow shackles with a 4 3/4 ton WLL at least. Beware the cheap ones, because when they fail, these things become weapons.

Also, know the difference between a recovery/snatch strap and a tow strap. They are NOT the same thing.

correct you want the correct equipment. I have the arb orange, the green tree saver, 5 bow shackles, hitch reciever, voodoo kietic rope, and a warn vr12s with snatch block.

There is a difference between a snatch strap, and a tow strap. I never said it was a snatch strap, although I failed to specify that I was talking about a tow strap which is not designed to stretch.

True, but the title specifically asks about snatch straps which is why myself and others thought you were talking about snatch straps.

Yeah I had to do a double take - it's just the bag, not the stuff inside.

For $55 I thought that was the deal of the century haha

The orange ARB strap is like 60ish on its own, and 1 or 2 shackles should be like 12 each for the ARB ones. You're out the door for under a hundred for a solid kit though.

Wheeler's, Cruiser Outfitters, etc can hook you up easy. I avoid Amazon for recovery stuff since I don't trust life saving (or risking) equipment coming from a place that has a history of passing knockoffs accidentally.

These soft shackles say something to the effect; not for use for lifting or any life saving operations.

For the sake of what we do with them as long as you stick with known brands of Crosby, Van Beest, Columbus McKinnon, Gunnebo or Campbell you should be fine. I would stress that you need to trust the source because there are counterfeits out there that can be convincing.

    That’s a legal/liability thing.

That’s why you also should carry a couple regular cast ones as well.

I know what you mean and hopefully it's a typo but just a clarification you should never use cast shackles, only forged.
