Dude you either lied in the first place and got caught up in it, or you're lifted and aimed as low as possible still blinding other people. If it's scenario two you need to do something about it... you understand it could be one time over the course of a year and you end up blinding somebody into a crash...
This is not a hard concept to grasp, just be courteous to other people.

    Do you read, either?

I said "if they last a year, you're better than most."

Bulb life and beam quality are different altogether, so your bulbs blind everyone while "adjusted all the way down" and you think they're awesome because they work?

    Swing and a miss.

Based on the logic and facts being thrown around here...........why no inclusion of retro HIDs in the illegal pile since they are not oem? No Tacomas came from factory with HID housings, HID bulbs and only now come with projectors. Call out everything illegal.

    None as of yet
Your headlights are not adjusted right if people people are flashing you and if you have them adjusted as low as they can go like you state the bulb puts out the wrong light pattern for the housing they are in and you are still blinding people which is illegal. And just because not everyone is flashing you doesn't mean you're not blinding them. and i agree with T4RFTMFW, flashing them back makes you a jerk.

And to everyone else, your low beams don't need to be damn suns!!!

8-10 times in one year ? fucking ridiculous. I get flashed 2 times in 40 years of driving, >25,000 miles a year.

the only flashes I ever got were when I really did space out and have high beams on
and did not see the oncoming beams in time

    you have issues

Hey woah there, wishing bad karma IS bad karma, just sayin.

Plus you drive a truck ... how many times do people even with high beams on blind you?? I don't have that problem.

OP get the LEDs you wont regret it. Better to see and avoid ...

I have the RSI Platinum H11 LED Bulb Kit - @ 6000 lumens per bulb they are plenty bright. I can't see 1200 lumens as a low beam.

LED technology is changing pretty fast for an old school technology, kinda surprising but in a good way.

I've got some 50watt LED bulbs @ 3500K (not for headlights) they are bright and dimmable too. Once you start getting up there with wattage the power supply gets a lot larger too, so take that into consideration. All the LED sets will come with a power supply.. take a look at the size so you're not surprised when you get them.

If going non-OEM, at least do a proper retrofit that does not blind oncoming traffic. My retros are definitely not "legal", but I know for a fact that they do not blind oncoming traffic. It was either OEM or properly retrofitted lights in my truck.
