Those guys live to talk ish. Dont let them get you all pissed.

As per your questions. I have 65w H9 bulbs and they are super bright. I have got flashed in my old mercedes that had the LED lights because as youre heading up a hill or cresting one you can not control the angle of your beam. I cant remember a time I ever got flashed with these H9 bulbs and they throw better than all of the LED Ive tested. 12k lms included.

They arent that white in color but I noticed that the white 5000k-6000k isnt as good on sand or snow so, I prefer the lower 3000k-4000k range.

Actually, I don't have my truck yet. Delivery is expected at the end of the month; should have had it back in Feb. (Lazy ass dealership:rant:)

Blinding other drivers, unintentional/intentional, is not safe and that should be given attention by police when possible. Granted I live in a city, so 8 times out of 10 it is some asshat with high beams on because their lenses are oxidized or newer high-end vehicles (Cars, SUVs & Trucks) coming out the factory with crazy bright LEDs/HIDs.

I think it would be bad karma to know you're blinding drivers and then flicking your high beams on those flashing you to give you a clue of the issue. Wishing the police would issue tickets to people causing unsafe road conditions isn't bad karma in my opinion.

All that said, when I get my truck--I will be looking for an aftermarket solution to get up to the 5,000 kelvin range. Still researching whether LED or HID is my best route, then brands. I'll just make sure my light horizon line matches factory and I don't go ridiculous with the kelvin and lumen levels.

I know what I paid for this lighting system and never implied I was trying to match them with some aftermarket plug & play LED, LOL. I just am looking to match my LED fogs, DRLs and not loose any lumens output. I don't want to blind other driver's either! Guess I am back to opt7.

Old thread, I ended up with Opt7 X in my 2016, still using them in my 2019. Sure there are better ones by now, but these are working fine still.

5 minutes to install, no issues.
