I know it's July and not time to plow any snow but,
I'm looking for some advice on the 4 cyl Tacoma.
    2.7 liter l-4, 2002 4x4 w/auto tran.
Can I safely plow my driveway this winter with a small
plow in low...with this little truck? thanks...

I used an 88 4Runner 4WD 5 speed 4 cylinder to plow my parents driveway in Nederland, Colorado. Put some weight in the rear and put it in 4-LO for the rough spots. You will be fine with the new 2.7L. It has the much more power than the old 22RE.

Oh - Get some real good snow tires. Colorado allowed studded snows, so that is what I had.

2 inch spacer in the front, and homemade add a leaf in the rear, billet grille, bull bar
an Auto tranny will take a hell of a beating but you will have no problem plowing, like 007 said throw some weight back there and tear shit up!

    Thinking of doing the same.

How is the snow plowing with the 4cyl?
What kind of plow and what is the weight?
