Snow roads

Are there any good off road drives with snow left

Lot of snow a couple thousand feet of elevation all around. Best bet is to use Google Earth/Maps and find dirt roads that come off a highway.

LOL :redacted: .. plus I'm in Oregon now. I'll let you know that the snow level is about 2k' where it gets serious down here.

 

Lonesome Lake. Had to turn around 8 miles i , was getting wild.

 

The factory 2018 OR was dragging skids for a while. Im on 265 75 16s with a 2in lift and was doing a lil better. What ya got done to your taco? I hope to do this road again before the snow is gone. Definitely don't go alone.

I want to get out as much as anyone, however, please stay home until this stuff is over. You could be unknowing carrying this stuff to other cities, counties, and states. If you need help, other people are exposed and/or valuable resources tied up to rescue you. Not to mention if you go to stores or gas stations.

Don't wheel beyond your ability or even close to it. Stop nowhere and touch nothing beyond the trails. Don't be a SAR case. Keep social distance. Yaddy.

Just do it safely okay? We all want to see the woods.

Snow wheeling has its risk like everything else. The up side it is easier on components. The down side is it is hard on your driveline.

With that said when snow wheeling aside from the regular gear of basic recovery items ( no winch) I brought along enough supplies to survive for a decent amount of time, and aside from being severely injured I can hoof my ass down a mountain in the snow.

 

Him and I off in the snow in the middle of no where is so much safer than the things most people are doing during this time. We are not spending any time together in close proximity, the virus is not going to live on the snow and infect anyone else in the off chance one of us had it. We also chose not to go anywhere we had a risk to get majorly stuck to require sar, we both had a wide variety of gear in case we did get stuck.

 

I mean see my profile pic. I'm guilty of being in the woods too.

 

I'd drive up there sunday too
