I grew up skiing Tahoe but never heard of Homewood, where is it? Did it used to be something else or is it new?

Yeah it does! There are 3 lifts up there. Not bad for a day trip.

It's right in the middle of the West coast of the Lake, there are no other resort within 30mins or so. I 1st went there early 2000's and honestly I had never heard of it before that day either, so it could have been called something else.

Crested Butte is a sick mountain, especially if you're not scared to do a little hiking, but IMO Mary Jane is the best thing going. Trees, steeps and bumps are all killer. I lived in Breck for awhile, and Summit County has some fun towns, but the mountains just don't compare to the Jane!

Everyone always goes to Showshoe here...But I like Timberline and Canaan Valley...Mountains are better than Snowshoe and a hell of lot less crowded...You usually have to wait till after christmas to go though...Thats when they really get the snow guns going and have most of the trails open...

Timberline is probably my favorite...They let HUGE whales build up on their double black diamonds....Its pretty sweet...Only problem is both resorts only have regular quad lifts...no high speed stuff...

Yeah...It was great. All Access East pass-5 mtns (Killington, Pico, Sugar Loaf, Mt Snow, and Attitash) for like 300 bucks. It was awesome. All of those were within like 2-3 hour drive from school...Take off from classes early on Friday and come back late sunday night.

Yeah, we have to work with what we have. I'm getting envious from reading about how close everyone is to their monster montains. I guess there's always vacations.

We should have a Taco Pow-Wow at 7 springs some time this year.

F Blue Knob!!! No offense Oxy. I grew up in Bedford, PA and went there frequently as when I was younger. I have a personally problem w/ that place cause I broke ankle and my knee cap into 3 pieces. Was laid out for 6 months cause of that ice rink. Story goes, I was flying down the hill on my board, went over a jump, landed on ice, slipped out, and slid at least 50-60 yards into a tree. Had there have been any snow what so ever, this would have never happened.

I haven't been back there since, probably never will. But when they did actually get snow, it was awesome. If you can't make snow well in this part of the U.S., your resort will suck and be an ice rink.

Blue Knob can be very icy, but Stembogan Bowl can be a blast. I've only been up there after dumps (per advice of co-workers) so all the rocks are covered.

I work at Ski Den Sports in Johnstown and we get so many core shots and p-tex work from ice, rocks and the lack of grooming present at the Knob. But it does boast 1000+ ft of vertical and when the snow is good it's good.

We should definitely have a Springs Meet or something. I had a cabin there last year but was evicted after a little mis-hap involving a rowdy party guest, our wood splitting axe and the property owner's tree... :(

Mt. Washington Valley !! New Hampshire's white mountains have some of the best skiing and riding. Although I've been to salt lake and tahoe to ride and they are the best riding in the world. I've heard it's been in Utah, but I loved California more then anything!

Where I'm at theres nothin too fancy but I go to Moose mountain, instead of ski lifts they have buses which I think is pretty underated, its warm and relaxing and you can converse with everyone. As for my board I have a burton indie 155 with 2010 burton custom bindings, hopefully we'll get snow sometime this year its getting rediculous.

Holy thread resurection, I guess its that time of year again, lol
Jay Peaks in Northern Vermont is the best place ive ever been. You can rent a cottage and walk right to the lift and at the end of the day you can ski right to the front door of your room/cottage. I went in late march early april and during the week there we got 4ft of fresh powder.
