So I am an automobile hypochondriac

I purchased my 2006 Tacoma DC trd sport last week and have been noticing something that probably doesn't matter but I would like feed back on them none the less.

There is a very faint noise when I am letting the clutch out in first gear. It is very very faint and it sounds almost like a rattle, like a heat shield or something. I have no idea what it is, but wanted to check to make sure it is OK.

I also wanted to know if anything with the clutch is covered in the Toyota warranty or in the 12 month bumper to bumper warranty that comes with a certified used toyota.

It could actually be a loose heat shield. You could crawl under and check, I've had a couple come loose on me and start making noise.

 

shake some things, shield, skid, drive shaft, and namely the exhaust.

 

Thats another thing. It came with a gibson CBE. I am not crazy about how noisy it is. Could be that rattling some things. I am gonna have it undercoated so maybe that will quiet it down and I will alos get under there and tighten some things down.
