The Denso's work with our trucks but they need to be programed into the ECU to work there is a 7 digit code that needs to be programed. You can use tech steam or and autell to reprogram.

It also does not matter if you mix the different sensors, as long as the sensor is the right type.

Also watch as they are different for alloy and steel wheel.

I’d like to know this also. I want to run two spares w tpms installed to keep all six in a rotation. Wondering if problems like this will arise...

You can run two spares but you will need a sensor that can be cloned. This way your two spares will have the same 7 digit code, as the ECU can only hold 4-5 different codes depending on year. I have a 2015 it only has 4 slots for the code, no spare.

This is how people run two sets of rims.

    Are the oem sensors clone-able?

The Oem sensors are Pacific. They look EXACTLY like the Denso sensors, I am almost 100% sure they are made by Denso. The OEM are not sensors are not clone-able as far as I know, neither are the Denso's.

So I’d have to replace all my sensors?

Or, I could just get oem ones and have a tire shop scan them right? Not a huge deal if it’ll work.

You could just get a clone-able/programable sensor for your 2nd spare. You would need someone with an autell or similar programing tool to scan your 1st spare and program the sensor for the 2nd spare to the same 7 digit code.

If you wanted to run a second set of rims you would put 4 programable sensors in the second set of rims have the sensors clone your factory rims 7 digit ID. Then the ECU would never know the difference.

I thought it was earlier stated that cloneable sensors wouldn’t work along side oe sensors...

I currently have 1 VDO redi-sensor and 3 stock sensors in my truck. Maybe they were not doing it right. It would not make sense to have to change all the sensors when one goes bad.
