NO kidding just reasearched the JL Stealth box, and fine print for those with SUBS, you need to order part #64429-04040-C0

For models equipped with a factory subwoofer, you must purchase a plain (without subwoofer) passenger side rear cargo trim panel (part #64429-04040-C0) from Toyota parts.

That is another 250 bucks or so... I think its probably a simple swap... but damn..... wish they would have just put a decent sub in there in the first place..

Soundstream 600w and Rockford Fosgate 10” 200w dvc. Couldn’t be any happier. I had a shop install it together with the remote starter.

Someone is putting together a group buy, didn't know if you would be interested in that.

I purchased the Alpine SBTS10V on sale for 150CAD (on sale, sub alone is 299CAD) it comes with the Alpine SWT-10S2. I started to build my own box last weekend, sealed it shut last night. It fits the Alpine sub perfectly. I will post more pics when complete. This is my first time building a sub box so please be nice haha

Are you guys running aftermarket head units or factory touch screens on these setups?

Aftermarket(pioneer avic-8400) but if you’re tapping from a factory headunit, you’ll need a line output converter.

I went with the whole kicker setup listed on this forum, speakers, tweeters, key amp, and mini sub. Sub fits perfect behind the passenger side rear compartment and the sound quality is amazing. I may consider a new head unit in the future when I got money to blow but I love the setup currently.

Went with a loaded enclosure 8" from JL and a taco tunes under seat rack and amp...all plug and play ..dealing with taco tunes was pretty laborious but the stereo does sound way better. It's a ported 8 so it sounds great for the small cab and I cut nothing.

I built a custom box to fit in the passenger rear storage bin (it is trimmed around the face of the sub).
    It's a 10" kicker compvt (slim)

hey reloader did u buy the jl sub with built in amp? Is that the microsub version? If so did u purchase it from crutchfield ?

Did u have to not even take out the plastic inserts behind the seats ?

Another vote for the all in one Rockford Fosgate. Amp is inside the box, no need to cut or trim the cubby plastic. I have one 8" woofer and it hits surprisingly hard.

I went with this one https://www.crutchfield.com/p_13693..._yu7JA8qy2zHkq9H06CTkbA-2T5eXgZQaAgTCEALw_wcB

No cutting of anything on the truck, slid right in and seat snaps back just fine.
