My Son will be 16 tomorrow and this would never happen. He has been raised well and knows better than lie, cheat or steal, especially to or from me. hahaha! This is as much a parenting issue as it is a punk kid issue. Personally i would beat his ass and then deal with my circumstances from it.

Something tells me this isn't the first time they've had problems with their shithead of a kid.

I am not a parent so I'm in no position really to give parenting advice but it clearly seems this kid was never taught about earning things in life and not just being given them. To which case I'd think the parent would be a little to blame. He obviously has the mentality that he deserves whatever he wants.

To answer the original question, I'd take him to the ghetto drop him off and swap him with a homeless person that will appreciate the roof over their head. Let me see how good he actually had it.

All I know is one time, when I was 10, I called my mom a bitch.

My mom beat my ASS right in the middle of the store. Took me home to my dad who REALLY BEAT MY ASS. And I mean, beat the ever living shit out of me. Now that I think about it, it was a bit overkill what he did, however he proved a point.

Point of the story, never called my mom a bitch again.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
I like all of the above suggestions, except kicking him out. That would make it too easy on him. This kid's ass would be mine, working for every penny that he spent on the credit card and then every penny for the cost of every possession he has ever owned. It would all be videoed and posted on his Facebook in the comment section. A new video every day for the rest of his life until everything was paid back, and I wouldn't even pay minimum wage.

I'd have to agree with the public humiliation part. Seems that kids like this only learn that way. Reminds me of a previous thread.

Im going to agree with 99% of people here. BEAT THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF THAT KID! I dont have any kids so not allot of room for me to talk here. But when i was out of line as a kid, i got beat. Learned the lesson and moved on. But i was also raised on the lower scale of money. So i knew if i wanted something you got to get out and work your ass off to get it. And now im a better person cause of it. But in the start you gotta beat there ass just like a puppy your trying to potty train.

x2. Parents with money have to be more careful when raising kids. It's easy to spoil them too much ruining them.

By the look of it he is under 18. I'm fairly new at being a parent but when my kids are at that age I will do my best to make sure they will never act like that. In the OP's situation, figuring that is your child, I would make him pay. Not money wise but life wise. Physical violence is not my way of parenting, with that said I would allow no free time outside of school. I would make sure he wakes up before school and does some chores, and after school come home do some homework and then more chores.

He wouldn't have access to a phone, computer, or tv at his will. He would earn those luxuries through helping around the house. If he were to try to fight back then I would call the police if it was necessary and have them take him to juvi for the night. He has no apprecaition for anything, or respect for his parents either by posting something like that. I hope it all works out in the end.

If the story is for real there was a lack of parenting early on and now it's a big game of catch up. Kids will do what ever they think they can get away with and if they are allowed to they will continue. Remove the computer Iphone what ever no facebook etc. and try to regain control after all the parents are supposed to be the one's in charge not the kids. You would not believe how many calls the PD gets for "12-16 year olds out of control" how can they be out of control? Whose in charge here?
