I wanted to ask this here cause i will get better responses. I think its time to change my serpentine belt. It used to squeal every cold morning, but now its constant the last few days. any idea the cost? where to go in glendale, burbank, la crescenta, sunland, tujunga areas?

Mine has vaguely started doing it from a stop. I'll be getting mine done at a buddies shop in El Monte. Shops called BC Motorworx. He has a instagram as well if you want to look him up.

It’s not just the belt, you’ll want to replace the pulleys as well- since they’re the ones that are squealing. I need to do mine too, just been putting it off.
Some reading material if you want to try it yourself:

My buddy recommended J&G auto on foothill near dunsmore. I stopped by after work and met the owner Gazo, pretty cool guy that’s got knowledge about a lot of cars. He’s even got a sick skyline r33 single turbo fully built along with a bunch of rx7’s and rx2’s! I’ll tell him to do pulleys as well. He quoted me 140 for belt and labor

Its extremely easy to do the belt and pulleys, with minimal tools required, if you're interested in saving money and learning about the truck. If you want to save even more more you can identify the bad pulley by using a squirt bottle to spray them one by one until the noise goes away.

I found my noisy one that way but still haven't changed it cause it's super infrequent and goes away immediately. Also, not proud to say but I'm still on my original belt. :anonymous:

I know I can do it, but I really got no time for it. Busy nurse with a 2.5 year old = no time to work on my truck even tho it would be cool for my son to help too

A buddy of mine goes to him for maintenance on his truck. They've been there for a while. Out lasted the two other businesses next to them.

Yeah, he's told me the same about him and he's always sending me pictures of the R33 and Rx7. I miss that area. Used to live in Tujunga a few years ago and occasionally still go to visit friends.
