I know there's a bunch of us who are now under orders to shelter in place. I did have schemes to skip town but there's always the potential of not being allowed back in. Fortunately I have hiking/biking trails in close proximity which I plan to take advantage of. That and building a castle out of toilet paper rolls.

What's your plan to stay sane for the next 3 weeks?

Your loved ones and what @916TacoTruck said might be the same thing.

It also, may be what your loved ones are into? :anonymous:

I'm still going to work as of now. I've thrown a few ideas around if we are to close but not sure what direction I'd go.

I'd love to skip town and go enjoy the outdoors but the truck isn't 100% and fuel might be a concern here in the coming days. Might not be worth burning through it.

I've got lots of projects to work on at the apartment so I'll probably work on some of those to pass time and be productive. I would REALLY like to work on the truck but I'd have to drive to a buddies place and require others to get involved and be on the same page.

My friends brother works at a hospital. They've been told to prepare for no time off, no vacation, and 24 hour shifts. I feel extremely lucky right now.

They are coming up with a plan to have staff on a rotating schedule so that 1/2 are in building and 1/2 work from home. Camping counts as social distancing, and camping with a cellular hotspot counts as working from home. Thats my theory anyway...

Nothing will keep me sane. I've been practice hand washing, social distancing, and avoid sick people since before the pandemic. I don't like being sick at all.

I too subscribe to the Ted Kaczynski theory of working from home.

I’m going to be working on my truck while it’s not raining. I’ll be running and hiking while it is raining.

I thought about getting out of town but my thoughts are what if I unknowingly infect someone in a place that has no infections?

Working my ass off at the steel shop, then spend time at home either petting dogs, or replaying FF& until C&C Remastered gets released....cause I'm a nerd and proud. XD

My job hasn't slowed down at all, if anything it's picked up due to frantic rushing to get stuff done before mills start halting steel sales (which we're seeing already).

Not so sure fuel will be an issue this time. If everyone is working from home, self isolating, etc, then ostensibly people should be using less gas.
