Have a soft tonneau cover but need more space to haul large objects when going on a trip such as a bike, luggage, rack, or even a RTT. Well here is your solution, a bed bar system that will fit over the tonneau cover and still allow you to roll the cover up for access!

Here are some screen shots of the final product.

Brackets will be made from 3/16" thick steel, powder coated black.

Cross bar is 1-1/2" square 80/20 for endless mount options.

Will include all necessary hardware, gasket and instructions for installation.

These bed bars are rated to 250# load in motion, 500# load at rest.

Will work with soft, roll over cover as well as tri-fold or full lift cover. To use on tri-fold or full lift cover you'll need to slide the 80/20 out one side of the bracket. Simple step, just remove one bolt and it slides out, no need to remove brackets from bed side.

Thank you sir. Making a minor tweak to spacing but other than that they're good to go and ready for orders. Should have pricing up in a day or two.

Alright guys, need your help. If you don't mind, I need people with soft tonneau covers to send me two dimensions. I want these brackets to work with every cover out there.

What I need is the following:

    Brand of tonneau cover
Height of tonneau cover from bed rail cap where the cover sits on to the top of the cover
Absolute widest point from side to side of the tonneau cover

    Help a brotha out!

AWESOME, I have been thinking about this for years! How much do you plan to sell then for?

I'll get you the dimension for the Extang Full Tilt cover tomorrow......

Im still working on a price but what I know is theyll be sold in pairs. Pretty sure I'll be around $225ish and if you want powder coat add $75. Shipping shouldnt be horrible, theyre not all that heavy.

I am definitely in at $225. When do you think you'll be ready to start selling?

I totally forgot about getting the dimensions..... My bedcover sits 1.75" high and 62" wide. The Extang Full Tilt has a metal "bracket" (for lack of a better term) that goes around the bed, it has a 0.25" gap. Will the brackets for the bars fit in that gap (see picture):

Side note, this product only works with soft covers, no trifold covers. Also, we're making a couple design improvements after putting them a series of road test and a road trip loaded down from Md to MI and back.

Sorry, I was away on vacation..... Here is a stock picture:

I understand that I won't be able to "tilt" the cover while the bars are on the truck.

Well, it should work just fine but it would be a pain if you actually do want to open the cover. You'd have to completely remove the bed bars. Assuming you're aware of that and okay with it then yes, they will work. We made some design improvements to make them just as strong but easier to install and use. I will get updated pics up soon.

You somewhat had to turn the cover while rolling to avoid that. We've since changed the design so it is much easier to use the cover. I need to get my butt back to it to finish final prototype and post up lead times and pricing. Been busy fulfilling orders.

Not yet. They haven't been at the top of the priority list with us still trying to get caught up shipping all the orders from the labor day sale.
