Tactrix success for me. Stumble 90% eliminated, and acceleration through power band is much smoother. Big thank you to everyone

Findlay and Desert Toyota need a wake-up call (corporate-type).

I think most people are having issues with squeaky pedals. I had a overtorqued pressure plate causing clutch drag for notchy shifts and bearing type noise.

Sometime In my first 500-600 miles I started hearing a whistle sound when pressing the clutch. Then I started feeling some resistance when pulling the shifter out of gear and some notchyness on shifts. Took it in, did a ride along with a tech to confirm the noise which was very subtle but it was there. Tech dropped the tranny and found that the clutch pressure plate bolts were stripped from over tightening with an air powered tool.

I just got a call back from corporate, but it wasn't related to my engine calibration update. It was for my clutch complaint that the dealer couldn't "replicate", Sometimes I need to clutch twice to get it in gear from a stop, and sometimes it's notchy like you stated, my clutch has been inconsistent for a while and it is happening more and more often.

They had a record from when they repaired my creaking clutch the first time, and they said they will have the service manager call me to take care of this concern even though they couldn't replicate it. I'm hoping this is the fix, and they will fix it. I'm tired of wasting my time at Findlay Toyota.

Wow. Dealer just installed a URD clutch for me and will be very reluctant to pull stuff apart unless on my dime. Don't think I'm hearing anything but will pay close attention. What's baffling is 3rd to 2nd downshifts are very smooth, but 1st to 2nd very bad sometimes, also 0 to 1st/Reverse.

How important is this whistle noise as a symptom?
Did they just replace the bolts or entire clutch assembly?

On topic: Just had software updated from B10 to B13 and after short drive agree with everyone here that throttle is almost normal now. You should not need to do this yourself, as stated in this thread, once they actually run the update check they will either get a green checkmark to go ahead or not. My guess is the dealers rejecting people don't even run the check. There was hesitation from technician for liability reasons and info from this thread went a long way to help convince him that research was done.

Main issue was the pdf of Canadian TSB version (5133 I believe) shows only B12 not B11 or B10, that's where the .cuw file came in handy as it lists all 3 as targets. Dealer was Scarborough Toyota.

Was hoping this would help with shifter going into 2nd easier but no dice.
Granny shifting and ripping it up seem to go okay but can't do normal.

The US version of the TSB doesn't show 04B10 or 04B11 in the table either. It's only in the software file, as you noted.

If it’s squeaking, just let them know...and mention the TSB. Experienced mechanics seem to know about this long time problem.

They didn’t bother trying to lube it...just ordered the parts per the TSB and set up a new appt.

Where is the full tsb? dealer said I can't demand an update on my truck. Simply asked for the manual transmission update.
