For Sale: 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser 6-speed + Mods and Maintenance History

I purchased this FJ Cruiser in April 2011 with 45,000 miles from a family here in SC. It came from the factory with the 6-speed transmission, convenience package and upgrade package 2 (subwoofer, ATRAC and rear locker). It’s always been a southern vehicle, so no worries with rust.

Since purchase, this FJ has been my daily driver and never let me down. It’s been on multiple 5,000+ mile road trips, several FJ Summit’s and always reliable for weekend adventures. The mileage is currently at 225,xxx and may go up as I still drive it. I’m only selling because I’ve moved into a vehicle that better suits our growing family. I’ve got STACKS of records for the FJ, both for maintenance and modifications. All records available to new owner.

Speaking of modifications – This FJ Cruiser has some tasteful additions:

In addition this FJ has had the following recent maintenance done:
    • New OE Clutch kit
    • New Wheel bearings and hubs
    • New HD half shafts
    • Front differential supports and bushings
    • New Brakes and rotors (EBC Greenstuff)
    • Alignment
    • Spark plugs and both knock sensors (incl. wiring)
    • New Alternator
    • +more…

Full disclosure: this vehicle is 14 years old and does have some imperfections, as expected. It has been wheeled throughout Utah, Colorado and the Southeast and performed great! The body is clean minus some rock chips from highway driving and a little clearcoat peeling starting on the passenger door at the window. The clutch throw-out bearing has a squeak that comes and goes, which is common across most 6MT FJ’s and a non-issue IMO. Occasionally, the transmission will make a noise when shifted from 2nd to 3rd. It’s so minor I haven’t considered getting it fixed at this point, but I’m guessing the synchro between 2-3 is worn. You may or may not notice this at all but I wanted to mention it. The upgraded sound system was the last modification and I never mounted the amplifier. It’s currently situated neatly in the cargo area with plenty of extra wire concealed under the subwoofer panel. I had intentions of building a custom box to hold the subwoofer and amp together but spare time is in short supply these days thanks to kids:)

In summary, I’ve tried to keep the FJ maintained like any daily driver should and I wouldn’t hesitate to jump in and drive to Moab for some trails this weekend! If purchasing long distance, and buyer prefers a PPI for peace of mind, I’d be very happy to accommodate them at the local Toyota dealer at their expense.

    Asking $16,000

If I had the extra cash right now I would pick this up. Sound alike it's been well maintained and it's even in the color I want too. GLWS

I'm very curious on what it would take to get it down here to Texas. I'm looking to get out of the Taco and pick up an FJ. :spending:
