I’m selling this nice good as new alpine head unit I just got back from alpine after they warrantied the last one and replaced it with brand new internals. Big up to alpine! I bought another while waiting and gonna just sell this bad boy since it’s in perfect condition and my current is scratched a little. Guys I got really lucky to get this replaced free of charge so therefore I’m selling this unit which has all the bells and whistles listed from Crutchfield site from navigation to CarPlay android CarPlay CD hi res files you name it (besides wireless CarPlay)this is an $800 head unit... other than power harness being shortened to remove it, the manual, cages, and plastic face surround is unused and in the box as well as paperwork I got back from alpine.. check my feedback PayPal friends and family and this is yours for $375 shipped to your door in the conus... it’s in mint condition... It’s listed on a couple audio forums and I don’t expect it to last long so if you want a deal on a great head unit do some research and buy it. I will even throw in this PAC Audio SWI- CP2 steering wheel control module and 3 metra face adapters that I’d bought for it AND a 2 channel EFX RCAs in the deal. I no longer have a need for this unit or the accessories I bought for it for $987, hence the reason I’m letting it go so cheap. Honestly just wanting to get a little of that back for it. The reason the unit needed replaced was completely user(my)error I was a newb and installed it incorrectly. Guaranteed description is accurate. If you can do without wireless CarPlay this unit is tough to beat especially at half price

Is this plug and play with the provided harness and adapters?

 

Not plug and play but The manual will have all the wiring mapped out via color that you have to solder into a Tacoma harness that I can provide. I have one of the pieces I will include to make the extension of the factory harness. They’re only $5 each on Amazon.

Metra 70-1761 is one of them and is the one that I have. The other is the male end

 

At this price I’m sure you could get an installer to install it for $150 and come out ahead. This is fresh from the factory at alpine. Also there is a couple places that I believe make plug and play harnesses for around same price as install would cost or maybe a little cheaper. Not positive. T a c o t u n e s possibly

You can either get a completely new alpine harness lead or get a alpine to toyota harness for PnP like this

does it have wireless carplay?

 

Sorry No wireless CarPlay I’m reading up I thought it definitely had wireless CarPlay but it doesn’t. Requires USB port connection. 4v pre outs for front rear and sub. Plays dvd via hdmi. CDs. Lossless file streaming for hi def music via FLAC. Built in 3D navigation with over 7 million destinations and points of interest. Touch screen. All the bells and whistles minus wireless CarPlay pretty much you could think of this unit has it. Here is a 2014 tacoma owner review of it. It has 4WD trail navigation mode evidently that leads you to off road paths. Pretty cool feature I didn’t even realize it had. I will admit that sucks about wireless CarPlay though. I never even got to use this thing bc I screwed up the install day 1 unfortunately. Hard lesson learned

 

Since I found out this has no wireless CarPlay only CarPlay through usb I’ll take $425 shipped for everything. Still a great headunit if you don’t have to have wireless CarPlay
