Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.

It is a pretty common issue.

And there are more than one possible cause as you are aware. I had an issue twice..

On my 2012 (all stock) low speed under acceleration. I just got rid of the truck, it was an auto and I hated it.

On my 2015 for the short period I had the 3 leaf add a leaf, it was so soft that my spring wrap was horrible. I hung out my door and watched it. When I went back to tried and true (for me) single stiffer add a leaf with overload it went away.

If you have pulled your drive shaft in the past, I would give turning (phasing) it a shot.

Sounds like classic needle bearing failure.

Seems 99% of you are installing AAL with the Pro kit.

If anyone has installed a new FULL leaf pack with the Pro kit (and no additional spacers), I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Would I have to remove/grind the clamps/rivets in order to install the single AAL?

    Yes, with a long one

No with a short one, but those suck.

Not all. But I cannot remember if I did 1 or 2 off. My 2015 was probably the 10th set I have run or so, not including the ones I have broken.

This one was my 2013, I think I removed 1 more clamp on my 2015 than I did on the 2013. And one of the I removed all the clamps and installed new ones on the add a leaf. FB_IMG_1513039903216.jpg

I installed a brand new take off TSB leaf pack (3+1) with a trail gear single add a leaf and netted 3" over the saggy OEM springs I was running. The trail gear leaf were good without cutting clips but there's only a couple inches to spare before they impact the clip.

It's only been a couple days but I'm very happy with my Dakar's so far and I got the rear height I wanted. I can always throw the second overload back in too if I ever decide to carry more weight on a daily basis. No vibes so far, as best I can tell. I grease my u-joints regularly every 10k.

TRD Pro suspension with General Springs leafs, 265/75r16 Wild Peaks, anytime Fog light mod, ram mount A-piller mod, WeatherTechs, K&N (drop-in), Tint/Brow, custom grill, shaved emblems, shortened tailpipe. 30" Rigid Horse single LED Bar, sound deadened doors, infinity speakers, Tacoma bed mat Future mods: ultimate headlight upgrade, ultimate fog light upgrade, 33's? who knows?

I have the pro kit with 1/4" top plate spacers in the front and General Springs HD full leaf pack in the back. I don't have official measurements since doing the rears due to finding level ground and it being rainy but I think it's about an inch rake currently. Previous to the rear install, I had about an inch bro lean, but the way the body lines are on the truck it made it look very nose high (to me). The pictures are pre and post leaf springs, the rear shocks and front setup from the pro kit (with the 1/4" spacers) were already complete. @poseytaco also did General Springs. I had the needle bearing replaced by the dealership since I have about 55k miles on the truck (within a week of the lift); I have close to 2k miles on the front lift and about 400 on the rear now. I have started to get minor vibes from lifting the rear, but I'm going to let it settle for a bit before I think about doing anything to overcome it as it isn't too bad. there for a minute I thought about upgrading my spacers to the 1/2" but I think it looks about right currently. still need to do an alignment....post3.jpg full1.jpg

It doesnt come with them. They are Daystar cradles. There not too expensive, think around $60. Might as well get em, if your doing it. I should have the first time, when i installed the bags. Just be prepared to build up that bracket to reach the axle (firestones bracket). It doesnt reach, unless you have the old 2+1 leaf setup.

When i first lifted mine, to 1.75 with the 5100's, i got the same vibe. Goes away in 4hi. Went to the dealer and got the tsb needle bearing put it in. No issues since. That was 12-18 months ago. Go get it before your warranty is up.

Dont let them get below 5psi for too long. According to Firestone, riding them below 5psi, you risk damaging the bags under compression. Being there is no bumpstops, full compression could damage them. 5psi, they function as your bumpstop. I run mine 6 or 7 to allow for the slow loss that occurs.

So I installed this setup and like a bonehead posted it to the 3rd gen thread.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...pro-kit-upgrade.530072/page-134#post-17436017

I've gone through two iterations now, one with the OME medium duty without top overload, and one with the same leaf pack with OME AAL added therefore making it the heavy duty, also without top overload.

-Center of hub to fender data for OME medium duty without overload-
    WHEEL/PRE/POST/Δ
    DF/20.25/21.875/1.625
    PF/20.5/22.125/1.625
    DR/21.75/22.375/0.625
    PR/21.5/22.5/1

-Center of hub to fender data for OME medium duty +OME AAL without overload-
    WHEEL/PRE/POST/Δ
    DF 20.25/22/1.75
    PF 20.5/22.25/1.75
    DR 21.75/23/1.25
    PR 21.5/23.5/2

Note that the increase in rear height seemed to pull up the front a bit but then again these aren't super scientific measurements. As of right now I have about an inch or so gap before the sumo springs so I'm thinking about buying a spare bump stop set that I can screw in when I'm not towing anything. Also, this is with a topper, DIY drawer system with emergency gear in it and Prinsu top rack.

    DSC_1048.jpg

I haven't gotten a good alignment yet but the shop I went to says they'll try again. I would hope so since I paid them $230. My first thoughts are that this is a sizable capability improvement. I liked the ride of the TRD Sport but had to put the sumospring bump stops in to prevent sag when I was loaded up for camping and towing my pop up. Then I was riding my stops and it wasn't fun. I think my truck is exactly where I want it to be, pending proper alignment. Get after it people!

If you get the chance for measurements that would be great. You've got the exact components I'm looking to install but have been waiting on someone to post results. Another forum member had the same components but added a bed cover so no bueno.

Let's see if I understand this correctly. Please correct me if I am wrong. This kit really is the same parts that were installed on the factory "Pro" trucks that you bought at the dealership. If that is the case then the Pro trucks from the factory must have had some kind of up rated rear suspension to compensate for the lift in the front? If so, what came on the stock Pro truck?

It did not. Same leaf springs. The factory rake on a brand new truck is about 2" so the 1.75" front lift would about level the truck off the factory floor.

The bilstein reservoir shocks for the rear are different of course, but they provide no lift.

They were about level on the showroom floor. Then the factory leafs sag and they get case of bro lean.
