I have a new and unused @KTJO 4x4 plug-n-play tailgate lock actuator kit for sale. I purchased this kit from Katie during her Black Friday sale for $85.50. I ended up installing the OEM kit instead, although they both accomplish the same goal, while maintaining true plug-n-play installation.

    I'll even include:

Two original (single cable) cable bezels. Instead of drilling through your stock bezel, you can modify these. They go between the tailgate and truck bed.

One OEM truck floor grommet. This grommet is from below the passenger seat. You can drill a hole through this grommet instead of your stock grommet, for a perfect and clean install.

I'm asking $85 shipped (cont. US) for everything. I'm located in the greater Seattle area and may be able to ship on the buyer's dime.

The OEM kit came with a grommet pre-installed on the cable, so the one in my post is the original grommet from the truck.

You do not need to drill a hole through the grommet, just take the harness when you run it from the tailgate to inside the cave and use your original grommet and go along side your OEM Harness. No drilling necessary.

Also, if you do not want to drill in the protector cable wires, there is enough space you can easily install the cable between the little space they already have prior to pushing the protector back into place. You do not have to drill if you do not want to.

However I do have some pics of one way a guy did drill into his cable protector to give you an idea.

Again, I’m not sure how you would implement the new one grommet but I would just use the existing one and not drill into it when you don’t have to. Just ideas.

    OP GLWS  Thank You!

There is a blank, unused hole w/ grommet about 6" from the one in your picture. The OEM kit uses that one.

Not much. Both sets were completely plug-n-play and operate exactly the same. Below is a list of diffrences:
    • OEM - Has disconnect at tailgate/bed interface for tailgate removal
    • OEM - Has inline fuses near the connection in the cab
    • OEM - Comes with (2) two cable bezels, for the cable to pass through the tailgate and the bed sheet metal (instead of drilling through factory single cable bezel) see post on next page for alternative to drilling
    • OEM - Includes flexible plastic conduit for protection of the cable on the exterior of the truck
    • OEM - Includes zip ties for securing the cable
    • OEM - Includes heat protection and metal zip ties for cable near the exhaust. Probably not even necessary
    All together, pretty minor differences.
