    2013 Ruger Trailer, 5’ model

    http://www.rugertrailers.com

I’m the second owner of this Ruger trailer, which I purchased in mid-2014. The previous owner put less than 5,000 miles on it. It has since been used for three trips, including four days on the Mojave Trail, and a bit over two weeks in Baja. In all, it has less than 10,000mi on it.

The trailer has several upgrades over the base model- most installed when new and a few I added. This price list includes the approx. original retail prices for the build based on Ruger’s advertised build list, and a few of my own estimates:

    Trailer base price: $4,295
    Propane tank holder: $90
    Can holders: $180
    Electric brakes: $375
    7-pin plug: $40
    Duratrac tires $400
    ProComp 17” steel wheels $100
    Tri-axis hitch $150
    Yakima tracks/towers/bars $400
    A-track cargo system $200
Battery Minder, Blue Sea fuse box, wiring $100
    2000/4000 watt inverter $150
    Battery w/ USB/cig chargers $0
    Jerry cans x2 $100

    Total original retail $6,580

    My price-
    Trailer: $4,500.

The trailer body shows typical road rash from about 10k of use. No dents. The fenders have some pebbling that could be sanded down easily. I kept rear mud flaps on the truck to minimize rock throw. There is minor paint flaking at some moving parts, like the articulating points of the 360* hitch, and at the hinges on the tailgate. Those points now show a bit of surface rust.

As for capacity, we usually had this loaded with a ARB 63qt fridge (not for sale), several Action Packer tubs, and piles of other random camp gear. We started planning a slide-out kitchen for the tailgate, and may still go that route depending on sale.

I converted the water can holders to hold & lock the two red gas cans as shown. I will include the hardware if you’d like to change them back to work with Scepter cans; you could change it back with two bolts or a few tack welds. Two brown 20L Scepter cans will also be included with any full-price offer.

The battery and inverter system can run most small household appliances, and runs the larger compressor I carry. It comes with a deep cycle lead acid battery, dated 2009. The battery still holds plenty of charge and I could run camp off this system for up to three days without charging. It is wired for the Tacoma 7-pin and charges while the truck is running. There are two USB charging ports and a cig lighter port. The red switch is for the two LED light strips on the underside of the lid. I will include an LED dimmer with remote that you can install. There is also a shoreline plug for charging.

The Goodyear Duratrac 285’s have been off the trailer since I’ve owned it. I switched to 16” rims/tires that could swap with my truck spare, and put the Duratracs back on for this sale. They are in like new condition.

I'm not in a hurry to sell and final price will probably be dependent on the travel required to deliver. The trailer is located at Grand Canyon, AZ.

Edit for a price drop. I've made the offer to a few already, so thought I'd share it. If you're willing to pick up the trailer in the northern AZ area, the trailer is available for $4,800 without the tent.

Edit to remove the tent from the ad, since we've decided to keep it. Trailer is still available.
