We are upgrading to a new truck so no longer need this. Remote start is only a year old and works flawlessly. Enables you to remote start your truck to make it cool on hot days and to warm it up cold days. Nothing is better than getting into a cool or warm truck.

PLEASE NOTE: This only works with Tacoma’s that have a G stamped on the key itself. Please look at your key and see if there is a G stamped into the key near the top right below the black handle portion.

Installation is plug and play. There are only 6 wires (Parking lights, Brake, Horn, Lock, Unlock and IMMO) that need to be tapped into for accessories if you wish to have those. Can control remote start, unlock and lock doors, sound the horn, parking lights come on when unlocked and or when locked.

Comes with:

· Brain and wire harnesses

· 2 remote controls – 1 regular and 1 2-Way FM/FM rechargeable LCD paging remote, Up to 3000 Ft. range, LCD graphics and real-time page back for confirmation of lock, unlock, trunk pop and remote engine start

· Car charger to charge the lcd remote control

· Owner and installation manual

· Pictures of where wires are located

· Links to installation videos

Install time took me approx. 4 hours and that was taking my time to locate where all the wires were and testing them

Retail currently on Amazon is $275 when available. Please note that the cap on top of the antenna on the lcd remote has disappeared so the spring for the antenna is lose. The remote still works, but it just has the spring exposed and I assume it can be cut down shorter and still work correctly.

Also the factory remote still will continue to work even with this unit installed.

Does this model shut the trucks engine off Once you open the door?

 

No. Either the brake will if you don't have the key in or the fob can.

The engine only shuts off when you press the brake or after 20 min of run time and or with the remote like 13tacocharged said
